What you'll need

  • Measuring tape
  • Size Chart
  • Pencil
  • Paper

Measuring tips:

  • The best time of day to measure is in the morning.
  • If possible, patient should stand while measurements are taken.
  • Measurements should be take against the skin not too tight or loose.

Where to measure:

For knee-high stockings:

  1. Narrowest part of ankle above the ankle bone (B)
  2. Widest part of calf (C)
  3. Length from floor to slightly below knee in a straight line.

For thigh & waist-high stockings:

  1. Narrowest part of ankle above the ankle bone (B)
  2. Widest part of calf (C)
  3. Widest part of upper thigh/groin (G)
  4. Length from floor to G in a straight line.
